Being a boudoir photographer I have the awesome opportunity and privilege of meeting amazing women on a regular basis and every once in a while a super special person comes along – Miss B is definitely one of these for me! One of my favorite aspects of being a photographer is the connections I constantly make. I remember connecting with others being one of my favorite aspects of what I did, even back when I was doing wedding photography. But having the privilege to photograph women and to be there along with so many on a path of self-acceptance, self-love and empowerment is a completely different and rewarding experience.
I remember early on in our conversations about her boudoir session, miss B telling me that she was interested in having me capture her soft and feminine side as well as an edgy more bad ass side of herself.
This is actually a request I get frequently, to capture two different sides of a woman. For some, it’s edgy and feminine, for others it’s sporty and sexy. It’s something I absolutely love photographing and encourage my clients to think about when creating the wardrobe for their boudoir session. I mean, at the end of the day how many of us are really just one persona 100% of the time?
