Happy February! This month is extra important for two very awesome reasons: it’s Black History month AND Boost Your Self Esteem month. *Hint: these noteworthy observances will be a common thread across our blog, Instagram, and Facebook Group this month.*

To help celebrate and bring awareness to both Black History Month and Boost Your Self Esteem Month, we’re kicking February off with a special Spotify playlist full of uplifting songs with positive, girl-power messages, all sung by empowering Black female voices. Why celebrate with a playlist? Because music has transformative powers and is a big part of boudoir shoots here at Silk & Lace (each client receives her own custom-made playlist as a soundtrack for her photo shoot).

These Black female voices are fierce, fabulous, and have made major waves in their industry. They defied the odds against them and rose to the top – and each one did it in a way that inspired other women, just like them. These artists and songs are beautiful reminders that you are perfect the way you are, right now, and that you can and deserve to have the things you dream about.

So, whether you have a Black female voice or are listening to Black female voices, this playlist is guaranteed to move your body and soul and put you in the right mindset to conquer whatever lies in front of you. Prepare yourself for 50 songs, more than three hours of positive, woman-powered messages, and some damn good music.

Heads up: This playlist features explicit language and mature concepts.
